Simultaneous Interpreting

Consecutive translations are translations that progress in the way that the speaker interrupts his speech at reasonable intervals, giving the translator the opportunity to translate the speech. In consecutive interpreting, the translator takes notes of what the speaker has conveyed with several special techniques and uses his notes to translate the speech into the target language when the speaker pauses. Since it will be difficult to remember information such as proper names, numbers, dates during the conversation, it should be noted by the translator.

In addition to conferences and press meetings, consecutive interpreting also includes healthcare interpreting, law enforcement interpreting, court interpreting, liaison interpreting, sports interpreting, emergency and disaster interpreting.
